The beach is boring. Two empty deckchairs on the sand. Dreaming to be side by side again. But he has sailed, a distant wing at dusk. The sea in the rear view mirror until the morning light reveals a fishing village. Layers of nets, simple houses, beautiful geometry. She learns to fish. Thick flesh and sharp metal. Who needs a pirate anymore?
It's very clean here

“With cities, it is as with dreams" Italo Calvino in Invisible Cities
I staged this dream in Berlin, following the adventures of an oriental prince as he wanders around the city. It is an episodic story, and the protagonist, a sort of re-interpreted Marco Polo, makes the invisible magic appear at his passage. Snakes, flowers, birds, a leopard, rich patterns and San Marco domes grow out of Berlin architectures. As the novel suggests, we see new cities through the lenses of our own sensibilities, and memories. This is a very personal view of the city, in which new places recall loved ones and make room for the unexpected.
